Fast compact camera ideal for portrait and low-light

Hello,

She currently has a Canon S95 and it's too slow for her most of the time. She's basically only on auto mode and most likely will never use any other mode including Aperture priority. Her issue is that the S95 shoots too slow for her (not just in low-light), but what makes things worse is that her hands shake.

Please help.
