I’m sure all of you know by now, but we completed house #11 last week– just in time for Shannon Leto’s birthday! Thanks to everyone who donated and cheered and helped us out. This one’s been a long time coming, but we’re on a roll now. We’re already over 10% on house #12.
We’re now on Twitter...
The Echelon House has joined the twittering craze! Follow the project’s progression and get up to the minute news – follow at http://www.twitter.com/TheEchelonHouse. You won’t want to miss it.
Help out the Media Blitz
As you may have seen in the latest MySpace blog, we’re planning a big media blitz shortly, but we need all of your help! Help us out by sending the info of media publications to echelonhouse@gmail.com.
Stuff’s happening behind the scenes, but here’s what’s needed right now:
Name of Publication: Type: (Music, Charity, Eco, General, etc.) Distribution/Location: (Local, National, International, Online) Website Link: (if they have one) Contact Info: (if you know/can get it) Frequency of Publication: (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, etc.) Have they Featured 30STM before?: Other info: (Whatever you think I might need to know.)
If you have any personal experience with PR, or if you work in the media industry and you know some tips and tricks and want to help out, please let us know. The more exposure, the better!
New HFH Merch: Echelon House Patches
Not sure if the word got out to all of you, but wanted to share the newest addition to the HFH Merch lineup – the Echelon House Patch.
Many months in the making, these patches are 100% embroidered with iron-on heatseal backing, and feature the blue and green ‘House Mithra’ with a white background. The size and shape is exactly the same as the regular 30STM Mithra patches, so they make a great set!
Only one hundred have been ordered, so once they’re up on the site, don’t forget to get your order in. I’ll be sending out twitter updates and bulletins once the items are up for grabs.
There will probably be another HFH Merch sale shortly, so keep your eyes peeled.
HFH Echelon Builds : Liverpool, UK and Toronto, Canada
In the spirit of giving back to the community, many Echelon members have come together to work with their local HFH chapters and help build a house – pulling together Echelon members from around the world to join in the fun. Some of our members have already participated in HFH builds, and two ‘Echelon Builds’ have been scheduled so far for 2009. One in May in Liverpool, and the other in August in Toronto. If you’d like more info on either of these builds, please check out the facebook groups here.
I am currently working with the Toronto chapter, and so far we have been allotted all 30 spots on that build day – what better way to come together than to have all 30 spots filled up? If you’d like to join the build or want more information, please join the facebook group above or email me at echelonhouse@gmail.com.
Of course, there’s always room for more builds and more volunteering– contact your local HFH chapter, find out more about when they are building, and go help out families in need. You can go by yourself, grab a group of friends, or make it an ‘Echelon’ event by gathering together others.
Make sure you let us know what you’re doing and keep us informed!
That’s all the news I have for now – stay tuned for more plotting revealed...

NRDC's aim is it to protect wildlife and wildlands. Each year, NRDC specially selects wild places across the Americas that face an imminent threat of destruction. The BioGems Initiative, launched in 2001, strives to protect wildlife in order to keep a natural balance, threatened by human or abnormal environmental change.
30 Seconds to Mars have recently joined NRDC due to the wolves of the northern Rockies being kicked off the endangered species list, thus putting one-thousands wolves in the middle of state sponsored wolf hunts. Help keeping them safe by learning more at NRDC and take actions by telling the Interior Secretary to withdraw plans to strip wolves of their endangered species protection.
